The last few weeks in Beirut saw several manifestations accompanying the organization of the sixth francophone games, which created a joyful spree of cultural, sports, economic and musical demonstrations.

AXA Middle East, true to its francophone commitment was noticeably involved in the “village des partenaires de la francophonie” as the exclusive insurer of the event. This one week cultural forum was held in Saifi village, downtown Beirut and hosted several delegations from the different countries of the organization of francophone countries.  This demonstration appeared to be an enriching forum that allowed delegations to share cultural, musical and culinary knowledge and practices, allowing all participants to discover the diversity of the francophone countries.

In another register, Mr. Roger Joseph Nasnas, Chairman and chief executive officer of AXA Middle East, was attributed the prize of francophone economy by the FFA (Francophone forum of business), during a whole day seminar about “Lebanon and the Euro Mediterranean Economic Space. This event was held on October third 2009 at the ESA (Ecole Supperieure des Affaires), in Beirut, under the high patronage of his Excellency, President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Suleiman.

His Excellency Mr. Tammam Salam, minister of Lebanese economy, presented the award to Mr. Nasnas in retribution for his prestigious career. This event also co-stared the French minister of industry and mayor of the town of Nice, Mr. Christian Estrosi, as well as the special counselor of French President Nicolas Sarkosy, Mr. Henri Guaino.
